Profantasy Software.
Universal Head designed this series of CD packs for the Profantasy Software range of cartographic programs. In keeping with the fantasy map-making theme of the packs, we created a unified theme, assigning each product a symbol and colour that appears on the spine (and in the manuals and on the CD) and which increases the shelf impact and ‘collectability’ when they are displayed as a set. Each pack cover also features a 3D illustration describing the software.
The set has been so successful that Profantasy has returned to Universal Head to redesign them for the next generation of the software—though there are some who think they can’t be improved! In the words of one of their clients: “please don't change your CD artwork. I am not exaggerating when I tell you that your CD jackets are the most impressive of any program I’ve ever purchased ... they are inspiring as they are.”
